The Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing new procedures, and supporting the development and execution of new projects. This role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of industrial processes, focusing on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate solid experience in process design, technical expertise, and analytical skills to identify and implement process improvements. ¿Cuál será tu misión?
Process Engineering:
- Develop and scale up manufacturing processes from lab-scale to standard production.
- Analyze processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of process improvements.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and providing the required training to Maintenance and Production teams.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety and quality standards.
- Execute approved projects, including task assignment, timeline tracking and budget management.
- Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Perform material and energy balance calculations.
- Prepare equipment datasheets, technical specifications and purchase requisitions.
- Collaborate with other departments (Production, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, etc.) on process-related projects.
- Lead commissioning and start-up of new processes or installations
¿Qué buscamos en ti?
Must have:
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in the Chemical or Food Industry.
- Proven experience in process optimization in industrial manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of process safety and quality standards.
- Fluent in local language and English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of Process Engineering software systems (HYSYS, ASPEN, HTRI, etc.).
- Experience working with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Familiarity with process control systems, SCADA, and automation.
- Theoretical knowledge of process design methods and production equipment for solids and liquids.
- Practical experience with process optimization techniques, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in commissioning and startup of process equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO, FAMI-QS and other industry-specific standards.
- Some experience with Maintenance management and Operations.
